Here is a compilation of the interesting iPad 3 specs, particularly the display, that making round online today.
The iPhone 4S display is having a pixel density so high that the human eye cannot discern individual pixels at a normal viewing distance. What this means are bootylicious curved edges and kern-perfect text. And it is a real joy to view. As such it is pretty much dead certain to feature in the new iPad 3 too.
Sources claim that Apple recently purchased large numbers of 2048 x 1536 pixel displays from its main rival Samsung, and, if this news is true, this makes their litigious relationship even more complex.
By theoretical calculations, the iPad 3 display will end up having a 264 DPI display, but this is technically less impressive than the iPhone 4S’s 326 DPI. However, this may not be a critical drop in resolution by comparison since you will probably hold the iPad 3 a little further from your face.
